PROFILE UPDATE: My husband and I are both retired now and have moved to a little Texas town called Streetman.

I am MARRIED and cannot figure out how to change my name. My married name is Linda Wilson Weldon as of April 26, 2015. ~ The rest of the story is:

I moved to the Dallas area in 2008 to be close to my two sons. I lived most of the prior years in Roswell. Many of my family members remain in Roswell, therefore I travel back there quite often. I still miss my brother Jimmy (GHS class of 1973 - passed in 1983) and my sister Ruby (RHS class of 1965 - passed in 1991) who were a very special part of my life. My youngest brother Ronney passed away in 2019.

My thoughts to live by:
Our past is a part of the stones that build who we are today. When things get broken God will help us to know what pieces need to be picked up and used again if we will turn to Him for guidance.

Okay, stories from Goddard High.....

I was born in Roswell, attended Missouri Ave and Yucca Jr High AND two years at Roswell High. The trauma of moving across town and changing schools! This really was traumatic for a shy & quiet (for some reason my two sons do NOT believe this part of my life?) person like myself. I had just begun my career at the South Main DQ where I met/worked with another GHS student Brigham Tuttle. Brigham was so sweet to point out those boys at Goddard that I should stay away from??? Well, not long after the school year began the Homecoming Events were under way. Now Brigham and a few of the other Varsity Football Players were in my Typing Class (remember Mr. Taute?) and Brigham wanted to make sure that I was protected at all times. When he discovered that one (who SHALL remain nameless) of the "Players" had invited me to homecoming and was already dating (was that the correct term back then?) another young lady (that was sure to have patched things up by homecoming!)...well, he just decided he would come to my rescue!! He invited this young lady to homecoming so that we (if the need arose) could switch dates and no one would be left out! I did end up going out with the first Inviter and to this day I cannot remember who Brigham ended up going out with. If you can keep up with this story, then you can remember how those little, silly things from those days that created so much drama....have absolutely no bearing in real life today!

I hope that everyone will remember what Danny Fulkerson wrote about folks coming to reunions. We all have 40 years under our belt called Life and I look forward to seeing all of you!
