When I moved allowed well in 1969, Glenn Thompson was one of my first friends. I can’t imagine that anyone can say anything bad about Glenn Thompson. Whenever you were in his presence, you felt relaxed, because Glenn was relaxed. It seemed like nothing ruffled him. And with his slow almost country draw way of speaking, you felt he was a combination of Jimmy Stewart and Willie Nelson. I am sorry to hear about his passing. Schulzy

Glen and I had been classmates and friends since the sixth grade in Miss Fishers class at the old Mark Howell Elementary. The last I saw and spoke with Glen was at or 30th Anniversary. Afterwards I had often wondered about Glen and only knew that he was living somewhere in Tenny area. I had ask around about him but never any concrete answers. It was on the 'Remembering Roswell' Facebook Page that I finally learned of his passing.

May you Rest In Peace my friend... Amen

One particular memory Glen's father's had the Schwinn Bicycle Shop there on North Main, It was there for my 12th birthday that my mom bought me my Brand New Schwinn Racer... needless to say I was one happy rider...
Glen's dad was the owner of the shop, Glens older brother Jerry worked there and their shop mechanic which I do not recall his name. Later sometime in the 80's Glen re-opened the Schwinn Shop on South Main. I recall speaking with him at his new shop while home on leave from the army at the time he told me of his activities with sport ridding.
